Actor Eric

The Kid & I (DVD)

The Kid & I (DVD)
An offbeat piece of real-life wish-fulfillment, THE KID & I stars Tom Arnold as Bill Williams, a down-and-out actor who, just like Arnold himself, had his greatest screen success opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger in TRUE LIES. Just as Williams is about to kill himself, he gets the offer to write actor eric and star in an action film in which he will be teamed with hardcore TRUE LIES fan Aaron Roman (Eric Gores, Arnold?s real-life neighbor), the cerebral palsy-stricken son of multimillionaire Davis Roman (Joe Mantegna). In a slightly cracked mirror version of the film?s behind-the-scenes true story, Williams reluctantly agrees to the offer, only to find himself transformed by his young costar?s indomitable spirit. As with reality TV, THE KID & I could almost be marketed as a documentary. Star Gore?s wealthy father did commission neighbor Arnold to pen THE KID & I for his TRUE LIES-loving son, director Penelope Spheeris (WAYNE?S WORLD) appears as herself, actor eric and we even get to see some home movie footage of Gore as a child. But the result, which could have been cloying or exploitative, is an unusual family-friendly satire of Hollywood that doesn?t shy away from a little darkness when necessary. Gore--who really does suffer from cerebral palsy--is a winning presence, game for anything actor eric and with sharp comic timing. And though one could go crazy trying to figure out where Bill Williams ends actor eric and Tom Arnold begins, his patented manic self-deprecation is appealing actor eric and he has a great foil in veteran character actor Richard Edson. And Now for Something Completely Different (DVD)

And Now for Something Completely Different (DVD)
Monty Python is actually a comedy troupe consisting of British actors Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Eric Idle, Terry Jones, Michael Palin, actor eric and American Terry Gilliam (BRAZIL, 12 MONKEYS). The troupe evolved from the Cambridge Footlight Society, a theatrical comedy troupe at Cambridge University. The collective was groundbreaking both in terms of its offbeat acting styles actor eric and radical approach to the most controversial subjects of the time, among them sex, politics, actor eric and race. Most of the Pythons have gone on to successful careers in entertainment, writing, acting, directing, actor eric and more. AND NOW FOR SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT consists of some of Monty Python's funniest sketches from their earliest years together. Director Ian MacNaughton leads John Cleese, Graham Chapman, Michael Palin, Eric Idle, Terry Jones, actor eric and Terry Gilliam on a hysterical romp through familiar Python locales. This includes pet shops; marriage counselor offices; odd London streets; upper-class twits; old ladies on motorcycles, fighting off milkmen; bank robbers; crazy flashers; dirty forks; actor eric and killer jokes. The sketches have been re-created for the big screen, without the ever-present laugh track, but are still loaded with Gilliam's outrageously funny surreal animation. (Gilliam went through a plethora of different career paths before becoming a director, actor eric and at one point was working as an illustrator in a Los Angeles advertising agency.) As in the television show, the skits are linked together through clever animation as well as by characters in uniform (Graham Chapman, in this case) proclaiming, I'm warning this film not to get silly again. Among Monty Python's favorite targets are the military, the police, the British government, the courts, Mao, Uncle Sam, actor eric and television reporters. As always, there are lots of men in drag. Even the closing credits are a riot. But watch out for that 16-ton weight! AND NOW... is a perfect introduction for the viewer who is new to Monty Python's unpredic Copy
